Mexico serves as Wendy’s hub for growth in Latin America as the brand plans for more than 125 new restaurants across the region by 2028; Brand set to host “Wendy’s Day” franchise recruiting event in Monterrey on Thursday, 23 October

MEXICO CITY, 13 October 2025: Wendy's®, the iconic global quick-service restaurant (QSR) brand, recently announced bold plans to accelerate growth across Mexico. With more than 40 restaurants in the country, Mexico serves as a strategic growth hub in Latin America. The brand is focused on building continued growth across Mexico and Central and South America.
Founded in 1969, Wendy's is one of the world’s most iconic and recognized global QSR brands. Its commitment to serving quality, craveable food—like fresh, never frozen square beef hamburgers, the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and nuggets, and the iconic Frosty® treat—along with exceptional hospitality are differentiators in the industry. Franchise partners can count on Wendy’s support from day one and benefit from Wendy’s proven business model, best in class training, and restaurant operations tools.
To support rapid growth in Mexico, Wendy’s has laid a strong foundation for new unit expansion through key strategic investments. These include strengthening market execution by investing in local marketing and supply chain resources, approving local suppliers, and taking steps to help ensure consistent delivery of fresh beef and high-quality menu items across Mexico. Additionally, a newly launched national marketing fund is helping drive brand awareness, while technology upgrades are fueling digital growth and enhancing the customer experience.
“Mexico is a key growth market for Wendy’s, and we are committed to the long-term success of the brand and our franchisees. With strategic investments in local resources, supply chain, and marketing, we are creating momentum and setting the stage for accelerated expansion. We are actively recruiting experienced franchise partners who share our values, passion for growth and quality food—like our fresh beef hamburger patties—and delivering exceptional hospitality.” – Carlos Ribas, SVP, Managing Director – LAC, The Wendy’s Company
